ISPS HANDA British Blind Open 7-8th July 2026.

This prestigious international tournament comes to Macdonalds Portal Golf and Spa Resort 7th and 8th July 2026 with a practice day on the Monday 6th July.

The renowned ISPS Handa British Blind Open is poised to return in 2026, bringing together some of the world’s most talented visually impaired golfers for a unique celebration of sport, resilience, and community. As preparations are underway, the anticipation is building for what promises to be an inspiring and fiercely competitive event. The tournament is renowned not only for the high level of competition but also for the lasting friendships forged among players, guides, and supporters.

Participation offers significant mental health benefits, including increased confidence, a sense of belonging, and the joy of shared achievement.

 42 Players plus their guides and volunteers from across Britain and overseas are converging for this highly anticipated competition.  Trophies will be awarded at a Gala Dinner on the Wednesday evening.

What to Expect

The 2026 Open will feature multiple categories, ensuring fair play and recognition for golfers of varying levels of sight impairment. Spectators can look forward to two thrilling rounds, culminating in a final day packed with drama, camaraderie, and celebration.

As well as all countries in Great Britain golfers will be from S Ireland, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Spain, Australia, Canada, Netherlands and Norway.

Stuart Hutcheson and Amanda Large, who won the overall Men’s and Women’s titles last year in Scotland as well as Paul Innocent who won the B2 Gross will all be defending their titles.
