Golf Clinics

England and Wales Blind golf are thrilled to be working with other organisations for the visually impaired to provide the opportunity to try playing blind golf whether a seasoned golfer who thinks they may have to give up or someone who has never picked up a golf club.

If you are a sight loss group and would like to discuss a Golf Clinic in your area please contact Johnkennedy@ewblindgolf.co.uk

Many of the venues use modern technology allowing the visually impaired golfer to see the ball flight on a large screen.

The Toptracer Range is the ultimate practice tool, taking the guesswork out of range sessions by offering an engaging, data-driven experience that appeals to everyone. Technology and swing stats once considered exclusive to the pros is now accessible—and enjoyable—to all.

The technology also allows you to play virtual games and plot your way around famous golf courses from around the world, adding variety to a solo practice session or creating fun experiences for a family or group of friends.

Some of the indoor venues, using Trackman, even have sound so that totally blind players can have feedback too, and provide a selection of immersive interactive games and golf simulators, perfect for social golf.

Here is some feedback from recent golf clinics.

  • “Thank you for the invite over to the golf today, it was great to come along and see what the VI golf taster session is all about. I know the clients loved it and really appreciated it!  We are looking forward to having our own VI Golf taster day in Chester.”
  • “I found it really enjoyable; I found the staff there were absolutely amazing. They were very helpful, and they were very good with the coaching and how to use your hands. Nothing was too much for them. I would rate them 100%. I really enjoyed it, and I’d love to go back again.”
  • “It was a very enjoyable morning, and it was great to discover I could hit a ball again. What I learned was if I listened, I could hit it in the right direction. The first few I almost missed, and they dropped off the end. I literally did get into the swing of it. I liked that they kept checking I was doing it right and telling us how far I’d actually hit it.”
  • “The fact that there was a professional there for advice.”
  • “If I go again, I’ll ask more questions.”
  • “It gave me a feel for it, I want to do it again.”
  • “It gave me the confidence to have a go again because there’s a golf course near where I stay in Scotland, and I’d like to have a go.”
  • “We were treated very nicely and given equal time to use the facilities.”
  • “Everybody was nice to us.”
